Pro Tip: If you have a crush sleeve style differential, it is a requirement to replace the crush sleeve when replacing the pinion seal.

It is very difficult to get the pinion preload correct when doing this in place - be very careful, and use very little preload with used bearings.

Over-tightening the bearing preload will lead to rapid pinion bearing failure.
