We are now supplying these thermostats with the gasket, because that's the only way it makes sense...
Note: Thermostat temperature ratings are the temperature at which the thermostat starts to open. It is not the temperature at which you cooling system will operate, and will not be the temperature you will see if you vehicle has a temperature gauge; many other factors affect engine operating temperature.
With the 1PZ, 1HZ, 1HDT, the thermostat is located at the water inlet to the engine, and not the water outlet to the radiator; this is part of the reason why this thermostat is rated at a lower temperature than some (which are typically 82C or 88C).
