Grade 1 Head Gasket

Piston protrusion must be measured at each cylinder before installing this gasket to ensure there is no interference. Piston protrusions must be fairly close between cylinders to ensure the engine runs well.

Replacing connecting rods as a matched set is a quick way of ensuring protrusion measurements will be equal across all cylinders.

To complete a head gasket replacement properly, you will need new head bolts and an upper end ‘VRS’ or Full Engine gasket set.
